Description:
The tire cutter is used for circumferential cutting of tires (with a circular knife). It cuts the tire around the perimeter into two pieces. When cut, foreign materials (minerals, metal, ice, water, etc.) fall out of the tire, which could wear down the crushing tools in the line. These materials cannot be detected and removed by the operator in any other way. By cutting, a more manageable semi-finished product is obtained – half of the tire. The operator places the tire on the supporting roller, which is advanced toward the cutting disc using a quick feed and then starts the cutting. After the tire is cut, the operator stops the rotation of the cutting disc and returns the supporting roller to its starting position. The tire is divided into 2 parts by a rotating tool while simultaneously spinning on the supporting roller.
After the tire is cut, the outer part falls down while the inner part remains suspended on the arm of the support pulley. The support pulley is moved back to its initial position quickly. The second part of the split tire is removed and the entire cycle repeats.
